  • Rajasthan (Day 5) - TrustVishwas
Day 5 : 9.4.2012 : Monday : Jaisalmer local sightseeing & Sam dunes – 85 km http://g.co/maps/bcjeg Today was reserved as local sightseeing day and so was the first day on this ride when we woke up around 8 am. Got ready.  We both decided to do all local sightseeing on Amit’s bike because of bent rim of my bike. Called up one of my friend in Pune to ask for good hotel for breakfast. He suggested ‘Riddhi Siddhi Restaurant’ at Hanuman Chauraha as the best. We both got out and rode towards the…
  • Rajasthan (Day 4) - TrustVishwas
Day 4 : 8.4.2012 : Sunday : Jaipur to Jaisalmer Via Bikaner – 660 km http://g.co/maps/bvaj3 Today, we were supposed to cover large distance of 660+ km in a day and that too in scorching heat. So we both had decided to start early. There is no question of any hotel in Rajasthan serving you tea/coffee so early in the morning so we were quite used to riding couple of hundred km before having first cup of coffee. We both got up at 4.30 am. Lugged our entire luggage down from the first floor. Found…
  • Rajasthan (Day 3) - TrustVishwas
Day 3 : 7.4.2012 : Saturday : Pushkar to Jaipur – 150 km http://g.co/maps/3zcqm As decided before beginning of ride, we both woke up at 5 am and got ready. Staying in RTDC hotel is extremely helpful in saving time by not serving any beverages or food before 7.30 am. Started riding by 6 am. Just before reaching end of the town, I saw 5-6 peacocks sitting on a house. Stopped, took u turn and was trying to get out the camera. By this time, all of them had flown off. This is the first…
  • Rajasthan (Day 2) - TrustVishwas
Day 2 : 6.4.2012 : Friday : Ratlam to Pushkar – 410 km http://g.co/maps/dcwec We both got up fairly early at 5 am and were lucky to get tea/coffee in the morning. Funny thing is tea & coffee were served in the small steel buckets normally used to serve Dal. There was no chance of getting any breakfast so early. Photos of us preparing to leave from our hotel We both were fresh and eager to resume our ride. If possible, we wanted to…
  • Rajasthan (Day 1) - TrustVishwas
Rajasthan (Day 1) - TrustVishwas “Screeeeeeeech” “Thudddddd” “Thudddddd” “Screeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeech” First sound was me and Amit braking hard to avoid a pothole. Second was our bikes going through the pothole at speeds above 110 kmph with full load of luggage. The third was braking effort by a Karizma rider who was trying to follow us. Me and Amit had somehow managed to find the only two potholes present in the whole Jaipur – Sikhar Stretch of more than 110 km. We were merrily making time a chilly early morning en-route to Jaisalmer. We needed to cover nearly 700 km…
