The Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India announced the dates for the National Motorcycle Racing Championship 2012 and boy were we pleased. The Indian motorcycle racing scenario is witnessing some of the best moments in its history right now and there is an ever increasing number of riders participating in the One Make championships hosted by Yamaha and Honda. There is also the TVS One-Make championships being introduced this year for the very first time.

One-make championships are the ones where the manufacturer fields same model bike to all its racers. In case of Honda for example you have 4 bike races. Twister cup, Stunner cup, CBR250R cup and the CBR150R cup. Everyone participating in the CBR150R cup will be essentially racing the same bike. Much in contrast to the One-Make championships are the National 165cc Open Class races where bikes are individually modded, tuned and worked upon by private racing teams.

The 2012 racing season in India is to begin 1st June onwards. This season promises action and excitement like never seen before. Good Luck Racers !

1st  Round - 1st-3rd June at KMS Coimbatore

2nd Round 29th June - 1st July at MMRT Chennai

3rd  Round - 10th - 12th August at MMRT Chennai

4th  Round - 7th - 9th September at MMRT Chennai

5th  Round - 28th - 30th September at MMRT Chennai.
